What the F[1–12] ?? That’s exactly how I felt. I was looking at Dell XPS 9550 and it’s been offering the same specs Apple does, for almost a year, now. Not only that, but it is also upgrade-able (can take up to 32 GB RAM).

I have a MBP I bought in February, this year, 16 GB RAM, 2.8 i7 CPU and I don’t find any benefit in upgrading to the newer version.

I actually feel like I’d be losing on the productivity side by giving up on the function keys and the ESC key. Being a VIM user, this decision impacts me in the worst possible way.
